A major milestone has been reached! The new version of the Verbum SDK portal is now live, designed to bring clients an enhanced and seamless experience. With this update, clients will benefit from a refreshed, modern interface, setting the stage for even more powerful features in the future.

What’s New?
Release Date:
The new portal went live on May 27, 2025.
Parallel API Key Support:
To ensure a smooth transition, current API keys will remain functional until May 30, running in parallel with new ones. Clients can move to the new system with no disruptions during this period.
What Clients Need to Do ✔️
To make the switch smoothly, the following steps are required after the portal launch:
  1. Sign up at https://sdk.verbum.ai/
  2. Create a new project within the portal
  3. Generate a new API key
  4. Replace old API keys with the newly generated ones in their systems
With this change, clients gain more control over their project management while enjoying a more intuitive platform.
Phased Transition Details 📅
Grace Period (May 27–30)
: Both old and new API keys will work in parallel.
Old API Keys Deactivation (May 31):
After this date, old keys will no longer function. Clients are encouraged to complete the transition before this deadline.

An exciting collaboration feature is on the horizon! Soon, team owners will be able to invite members to work together on projects within the portal. For now, organizations are advised to create a single account to manage projects and API keys.

What's New?
Our users can benefit from a brief, customized welcome message when they use VerbumCall through their designated phone numbers as their over-the-phone interpreter (one device, two language mode).
This message helps all users understand how to engage with VerbumCall effectively.
How to Replay the Message?
At any point during the call,
press the # key
to replay the welcome message. This allows you to hear the instructions as many times as necessary.
Important Information:
This feature is available when both parties are in the same room and using any phone set (or mobile) in speaker mode. Note that
it is not available for conference calls.
Why This Matters?
Enhanced Understanding
By replaying the welcome message, participants can revisit key points about speaking in their native language and take turns to pause for clarity. This reinforcement ensures that all parties are clear on how to interact effectively during the conversation.

Region-based context
Different regions and cultures have unique ways of expressing fundamental information such as dates of birth, account numbers, and zip codes. For instance, in English-speaking contexts, the standard date format is Month, Day, and Year (MMDDYY). In contrast, many Spanish-speaking regions prefer the format Day, Month, and Year (DDMMYY). Understanding these variations is essential for effective communication, especially when using VerbumCall, as it allows for accurate interpretation based on the speaker's cultural context.

What Was the Issue?
Previously, when a user without any logs attempted to view their log table, the system kept refreshing endlessly ♾️. This meant that users never saw the "No Rows" message that should appear when no data is recorded. This bug caused frustration and confusion, as it prevented users from understanding their log status clearly.
Key Improvements
Bug Fix:
The log table now correctly displays the "No Rows" message when there are no logs in the account. ✅
Improved User Experience:
No more endless refreshing; users can immediately understand that no data is available.

Our users will now see timestamps for each entry in the conversation when they download their PDF transcripts. Speaker Differentiation
We’ve added clear differentiation between the Original Speaker and the AI Interpreter. This makes it easier to follow the flow of conversation and identify who said what, improving the overall transparency of the transcripts.
